Turkey announced the risk of being left without gas due to the attacks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces

OREANDA-NEWS In the coming winter, Turkey risks being left without gas due to attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the infrastructure of the Blue Stream gas pipeline. This was stated by Turkish economist and financial analyst Ozlem Tekindor in an interview with RIA Novosti.
"Turkey lacks the determination to openly declare to Kiev that attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the infrastructure of the Blue Stream could eventually lead to a lack of energy in the country in the coming winter," she said.
Tekindor noted that the security of energy infrastructure should be one of Ankara's top priorities, regardless of the political situation.
The economist explained that the Blue Stream plays an important role in the supply of Russian gas to Turkey, and therefore threats to its infrastructure may negatively affect the stability of supplies in winter.
According to Tekindor, Turkey should defend its national interests more resolutely, clearly defining its position on energy infrastructure issues.
On July 8, the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked the Krasnodarskaya gas compressor station, which is involved in gas exports to Turkey via the Blue Stream gas pipeline. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, commenting on the attack, said that Russia had repeatedly drawn Turkey's attention to Ukraine's constant attempts to attack infrastructure facilities of the Blue Stream and the Turkish Stream. He called Kiev's strikes a manifestation of a propensity for terrorist activities.
