OREANDA-NEWS Two Russians are reported missing in Gyirong County of the Tibet Autonomous Region of China. This was announced by the Russian Embassy in China in its Telegram channel.

According to the diplomatic mission, the whereabouts of three more compatriots are being established. The Embassy provides assistance to Russian citizens in the disaster area and is working on options for their evacuation from the region, including through Lhasa.

Earlier it became known that hundreds of tourists were missing and dozens of people did not survive during a powerful flood on the border of China and Tibet.

It is known that there were a large number of organized tourists in the region. Among the more than 380 missing travelers, 291 people are foreigners. Currently, 31 people have died and more than 93 have been injured.
