OREANDA-NEWS. Deputy Minister of Health, Chief Sanitary Doctor of Ukraine Viktor Lyashko said that the country will be currently divided into four quarantine zones, as reported by the newspaper "NV".

The Ministry of Health of Ukraine is going to update the division during a pandemic according to the level of epidemiological danger within a certain area. Each region will refer to one of these four zones, which may be makked as red, orange, yellow, or green.

The green zone is considered to be the safest, it provides for the withdrawal of almost all existing quarantine restrictions, and, if necessary, only wearing masks can be left. The yellow zone will let food and entertainment establishments work only until 00:00. The red zone provides for the most stringent quarantine restrictions possible.

The red level on the territory of the region will be set if two or more of five arranged indicators are available for three days in a row. Among them are: bed occupancy in the region's hospitals is more than 65 percent; less than 300 tests per 100,000 population are done in the last seven days; more than 60 hospitalized in the last seven days per 100,000 population; more than 20 percent detection rate for COVID-19 cases; a rise in the total number of hospitalized patients in the past seven days by more than 50 percent compared to the previous same period.

The orange zone will be determined if only one of the above indicators takes place during the week.

Viktor Lyashko added that Ukraine has received confirmation for the supply of 12 million doses of vaccine produced by AstraZeneca and Novavax. From March 1, the country should open a preliminary registration for everyone who wants to get vaccinated.
