OREANDA-NEWS  Russia must demonstrate its interest in peace. The President of the European Commission (EC) Ursula von der Leyen made such an appeal to Moscow, Reuters reports.

"Now Russia must show that it is interested in peace," von der Leyen stressed.

The head of the European Commission noted that the peace plan for Ukraine is a 20-point proposal that Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky discussed with US President Donald Trump at the end of 2025. According to her, along with this plan, there are clearly defined security guarantees for Kiev from the United States and Europe.

Earlier it became known that Zelensky hopes to receive Russia's response to the 20-point peace plan framework agreement by the end of January.
