OREANDA-NEWS  Serbia will not support Western sanctions against Russia until its own vital interests are threatened, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said.

On the air of Radio and television of Serbia, the head of state said on Thursday evening that external pressure on official Belgrade in order to push it to support the restrictive measures of the West against the Russian Federation does not weaken. He recalled that Belgrade had been living under sanctions for 10 years in the 1990s-2000s.

"We can endure until our vital and existential interests are threatened," Vucic said.Earlier, the Serbian leader stated that he would support sanctions against Russia only if Serbia was "under the sword of Damocles," but so far he does not see such a danger.
