Vucic signed a decree on the dissolution of the Serbian Parliament

OREANDA-NEWS Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic signed decrees on Wednesday dissolving the Assembly (Parliament) and setting the date of the parliamentary elections for October 25.
In early September, the leadership of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SPP) voted for the current president to become a candidate for the post of head of the Serbian government in the upcoming parliamentary elections. The government then delivered to Vucic a proposal to dissolve parliament and set an election date.
The President of Serbia, as promised on Wednesday night on television, at 12.00 (13.00 Moscow time) in his administration signed decrees on the dissolution of the Assembly and setting the date of the parliamentary elections for October 25, broadcast by the Tanjug agency.
Vucic said earlier that he expects the current policy to continue after the elections. Following a meeting with the ambassadors of the EU member states on June 30, the Serbian President said that his country continues to follow the path towards EU membership and carry out appropriate reforms.
