OREANDA-NEWS  Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic will resign from his post on September 25-26. He announced this in response to a question from the N1 TV channel at a press conference.

"I will resign as soon as I return from New York. It will be on September 25 or 26, that's all," the politician said.

At the same conference, Vucic announced an increase in wages and pensions from December 1, as well as compensation and assistance to citizens.

On September 9, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic signed a decree on the dissolution of the Assembly (Parliament) and set the date for early parliamentary elections for October 25.

At the same time, the leadership of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SPP) voted unanimously to select Aleksandar Vucic as a candidate for the post of prime minister in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
