OREANDA-NEWS  It is possible that residents of remote and sparsely populated areas will receive goods ordered on Wildberries using drones. This was stated by Evgeny Etin, Director of Innovation and Ecosystem Development at RWB. He was quoted by Vedomosti.

According to him, the company agreed to accept the invitation of the Ministry of Transport and take part in a pilot project in one of the regions on unmanned aerial delivery. However, it is still unknown what routes we are talking about, as well as volumes and cargo transportation. The estimated cost of such a delivery is several thousand rubles per kilogram of cargo. It is reported that such a delivery can be 30 times faster than a land-based one.

In the second half of August, the Association of Marketplace Partners appealed to Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin with a request for government support measures for the platform economy. The reason for the appeal was a series of attacks on Wildberries logistics facilities.
