OREANDA-NEWS  President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has awarded the head of SpaceX, billionaire and entrepreneur Elon Musk with the Ukrainian Order of Freedom. The decree is published on the website of the Ukrainian leader.

The decree states that the award was given for personal merits in protecting human life and freedom, as well as for developing relations between the peoples of Ukraine and the United States.

Earlier, Zelensky distributed awards to the presidents and prime ministers of Ukraine's allied countries. Foreign leaders attended the award ceremony in Kiev, where they arrived on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of independence of the republic.
