OREANDA-NEWS  President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky made a slip of the tongue, calling the country "the land of many generals" during a discussion of the territorial issue as part of a plan for a peaceful settlement of the conflict. This happened during a press conference following a meeting with the American leader Donald Trump.

The head of Ukraine confused the words generals ("generals") and generations ("generations"), later correcting the error.

"Of course, it is very difficult for our society to choose and vote [on territorial issues], because this is its land — the land not of one person, but of our people, many generals... generations," he said.

Earlier, Trump shamed Americans who joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The journalist noted that more than a hundred US citizens were fighting in Ukraine, and then asked the American leader what message he would like to convey to them. "What a shame, you're dying for a foreign country," the president replied.
