OREANDA-NEWS  Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky responded to US President Donald Trump's harsh demand for a change of president in Ukraine. This is reported by the Telegram channel "Politics of the Country".

"If Trump wants to change the leader in Ukraine, he should know that only our people can change the leader," Zelensky said.

He noted that he is ready for the presidential elections in Ukraine, but at least 60 days of ceasefire are required for their preparation and holding.

Earlier it became known that Moscow is ready to suspend attacks on Ukraine on election day if Kiev decides to do so. This was stated by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov also ruled out a 60-day pause in hostilities. He explained this by Zelensky's desire to get an undeserved respite.
