BNY Mellon, a global leader in investment management and investment services, has been appointed by Banco Santander S.A. as the successor depositary bank for its American depositary receipt (ADR) program. Each ADR represents one ordinary share and trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol, 'SAN.' Banco Santander's ordinary shares trade on the Madrid Stock Exchange under the symbol, 'SAN.'

In 2015, BNY Mellon announced that it had been chosen by Banco Santander Brasil as depositary bank for its ADR program and by Banco Santander Chile as successor depositary for its ADR program.
