OREANDA-NEWS During the "Coin Week" in April, Russians brought about 55 million coins worth almost 252 million rubles for exchange, according to a press release from the Bank of Russia.

The next action of the Central Bank "Coin Week" was held from April 6 to 18. More than 16 thousand retail outlets and 4 thousand bank branches took part in it. These days, it was possible to exchange accumulated coins for paper money at bank branches and in stores that participate in the campaign. In addition, it was possible to deposit small change into your account in banks.

"During the spring "Coin Week", which took place in April 2026, it was possible to return to circulation 2 tons of small change more than last time. People brought about 55 million coins worth almost 252 million rubles to the exchange. This is 7 million rubles more than in the fall," the Central Bank said.
