OREANDA-NEWS. S&P Global Ratings assigned its 'A+' long-term rating to Burt County School District 0014 (Oakland-Craig Public Schools), Neb.'s series 2016 general obligation (GO) refunding bonds. The outlook is stable.

"The rating reflects our assessment of the district's extremely strong market values per capita, strong reserves on a cash basis, and fairly rapid amortization of debt," said S&P Global Ratings credit analyst Angel Bacio.

It is our understanding that bond proceeds will be used to refund the district's outstanding series 2012 GO bonds for interest cost savings only.
