OREANDA-NEWS Deposit rates in the top 20 Russian banks continued to decline. This was shown by a study conducted by the financial marketplace Finuslugi.

It turned out that from May 26 to June 2, 2025, deposit rates in Russian banks fell by 0.05-0.15 percentage points. The calculations used deposits of 100 thousand rubles without special conditions for three and six months, as well as for a year. Now the average rate on a three—month deposit has reached 19.58 percent, on a six—month deposit it has reached 19.27 percent, and on an annual deposit it has reached 18.58 percent. The maximum rate is offered for a three—month deposit (21 percent), and the minimum rate is for an annual deposit (15.03 percent).

Earlier, there was a forecast according to which residents of the Russian Federation will refuse to put money in banks if rates decrease. After the average rate dropped from 21.5 to 19.5 percent, the inflow of funds has already decreased. Some experts believe that the time has come to withdraw money from savings accounts and invest in more attractive tools.
