OREANDA-NEWS The G7 countries gave a loan to Kiev in 2025 at the expense of income from Russian assets for $ 25.5 billion, according to calculations by RIA Novosti according to the Ukrainian Ministry of Finance and the European Commission.
In 2024, the G7 countries approved the issuance of a loan to Ukraine in the amount of about 50 billion under this scheme. On October 1, 2025, Kiev was provided with 26.5 billion. The financing under the credit scheme accounts for three quarters of all aid to the country's budget allocated by the West this year. Additional money was sent by the EU (7.33 billion) and Japan (191 million), as well as the IMF (912 million) and the World Bank (74 million).
The United States was the first to transfer funds at the end of last year — a billion dollars, since then no proceeds have been reported.
