OREANDA-NEWS The Association of Investors (ABO) has written letters to the Federal Tax Service and the Bank of Russia with a request to check the activities of Whoosh and assess the legality of the use of tax benefits, expressing concern that the company may face additional tax charges, and this may affect the ability to fulfill its obligations under the bonds, Vedomosti newspaper writes.
"Private investors have seen "large-scale financial and tax anomalies" from the electric scooter rental operator Whoosh. According to the ABO Investors Association, there are systemic contradictions between the actual economic business model and the tax qualification of the company's activities as a resident of the Skolkovo preferential treatment," the article says.
The publication clarifies that it has two letters at its disposal - to the Federal Tax Service addressed to the head of the service Daniil Egorov and to the Bank of Russia addressed to the first deputy chairman Vladimir Chistyukhin.
