OREANDA-NEWS Crimea will demand compensation from Ukraine for the damage caused to the peninsula by military actions. This was announced by the head of the Crimean parliament, Vladimir Konstantinov, in a conversation with RIA Novosti.

He stressed that Kiev will have to answer for the results of its attacks, while he will not get off with apologies alone. "When the establishment of a new world order begins, we will also talk about Ukraine's war crimes," the agency's interlocutor said.

Earlier, retired military expert Colonel Anatoly Matviychuk admitted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) may be preparing a large-scale operation in Crimea. However, in his opinion, its success is unlikely, and problems may arise even at the stage of mobilization.
