In Russia one fruit has sharply risen in price

Fruit prices rose the most in October, with a seven percent increase in the month. A month earlier, the average cost of pineapple was 567 rubles, and in November it was already 607. In 2024, it was possible to purchase the fruit for 523 rubles. At the same time, the cost may increase by another 10 percent by the end of the year.
According to the authors, pineapples can be bought in Moscow at a price of 600 to 1200 rubles per kilogram. The cost depends on the variety, country and logistics. Most of the fruits (80 percent) come from Costa Rica.
Russians have already predicted a possible rise in the price of tangerines. By the New Year, they may rise in price by 20 percent. Now these fruits cost an average of 224 rubles per kilogram — three percent more than a year earlier, when the cost was 217 rubles. "The closer to the New Year, the more expensive fruits become, the final price increase may exceed 20 percent," warned residents of the Russian Federation.
