OREANDA-NEWS  In the week from February 11 to February 17, prices in Russia increased by 0.17 percent, which is less than in the previous comparable period (0.23 percent). The slowdown in weekly inflation is indicated in a message on the website of the Ministry of Economic Development.

In the segment of food products, the price increase dropped to 0.25 percent, and in non—food products - to 0.06 percent. In services, prices rose at the level of last week — 0.15 percent.

Earlier, the Central Bank, citing an inFOM survey, reported the first decrease in Russians' inflation expectations in five months. In January, they amounted to 13.7 percent, which is 0.3 percentage points less than in December.

At the same time, the regulator still calls the price increase unacceptably high. Following the meeting of the board of directors, at which it was decided to keep the key rate at 21 percent, the forecast for price growth in 2025 was almost doubled to 7-8 percent.
