OREANDA-NEWS  President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that nobody needs the dollar. He is quoted by BelTA.

Receiving the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic Maxim Ryzhenkov, the Belarusian leader stated the need to cooperate with African countries, citing Oman as an example. "Especially in the current situation, when no one needs this dollar anymore. They understand what this is leading to. They invest well, they spend money," Lukashenko said.

The President of Belarus also said that the future is connected with Africa. "But, most importantly, we must remember that we are not an empire, we are not Americans, that we will cover the entire continent. We need to have reference points from which we will work in the countries we are interested in. This is the main thing," said Lukashenko.

On March 8, Alexander Lukashenko proposed to rename American coffee to Belarusian. While visiting the cafe, the president of Belarus suggested that its owners start writing a new name, but leave the old one in parentheses until the visitors finally get used to it.
