OREANDA-NEWS  Rosbank, which has fallen under US sanctions, temporarily stopped currency transactions in dollars, euros and dirhams. This is reported in the Telegram channel of the organization.

The press service explained that Rosbank is not yet able to offer "routing to ensure that customer funds will not be blocked by foreign correspondent banks." At the same time, the situation did not affect money transfers in rubles in any way.

At the moment, the mobile application and the Internet bank are working reliably, the message says.

Until May 2022, Rosbank belonged to the French financial group Societe Generale. After the outbreak of hostilities in Ukraine, the company sold the bank and its insurance business in Russia to the investment company of billionaire Vladimir Potanin, Interros.

On December 15, US sanctions were imposed on Rosbank. The Ministry of Finance of the country has set a deadline for completing transactions with the bank until March 15 next year. The restrictions also affected Potanin, his wife and children, as well as his yacht. Interros holding, through which the billionaire owns his assets, was also sanctioned. At the same time, no sanctions were imposed against Norilsk Nickel.
