OREANDA-NEWS  Roscosmos plans to attract up to 50 billion rubles of third-party investments for the construction of two new satellite production facilities. This was announced by the general director of the state corporation Yuri Borisov in an interview published on Wednesday to the Vedomosti newspaper.

According to him, the state corporation plans to attract investments, including through bonds issued by the financial structure of Roscosmos. They will be placed on Russian stock exchanges mainly among authorized banks, as well as private investors. The maximum investment volume will be up to 50 billion rubles, the term is 15-20 years, the coupon income will be paid every 181 days. The initial bond issue is scheduled for 2023 in the amount of 10 billion rubles.

"These funds will become the basis for the construction of two serial factories for the production of satellites. One in cooperation with ISS Reshetnev - possibly in Krasnoyarsk, because there are all competencies. The other one is presumably in the Moscow region, because there are a lot of other enterprises here. We need optimal logistics so as not to carry materials across the country," Borisov said.

The state Corporation plans to involve private companies in the construction of satellites, as is the case in the United States. Megafon and BEAC, Gazprom Space Systems, Sitronics, BARL and many other companies. We are negotiating, trying to build cooperation," said the CEO of Roscosmos. He also recalled the existence of university teams that are engaged in the development of advanced technologies and satellite construction, citing the example of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, Samara National Research University named after S.P.Korolev and the Faculty of Space Research of Moscow State University.
