OREANDA-NEWS In the next ten years, budget expenditures for the new national project "On the development of Russia's space activities for the period up to 2030 and for the future up to 2036" (the national Space project), approved by President Vladimir Putin, will amount to 4.39 trillion rubles. Kommersant writes about this with reference to the presentation of the document.

In the period up to 2030, 1.7 trillion rubles will be allocated from the budget for it, another 490.6 billion is expected to be found from extra-budgetary sources. By 2036, non-budgetary sources will account for 686.4 billion rubles of financing.

The national project is divided into eight federal projects. One of its main results is the growth of Russia's share in the launch services market from 6.5 percent currently to 14 percent by 2030 and to 28 percent by 2036.

Roscosmos intends to achieve this by reducing the cost of putting one kilogram of payload into orbit from 500 thousand rubles last year to 350 thousand by 2030 and to 200 thousand by 2036. The number of launches per year is expected to increase from 46 in 2025 to 66 by 2030 and 113 by 2036. To do this, the state corporation wants to create the Amur LNG missile system with a medium-class launch vehicle powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG) with a reusable first stage.
