OREANDA-NEWS  By the end of the third quarter, the ruble will weaken moderately to 81-84 per dollar, but it is likely that it will remain in values close to the current ones, Alexander Schneiderman, head of Alfa-Forex's customer support and sales department, told the Prime agency.

According to him, in August, the national currency is holding in a stable corridor of 80-81 rubles per dollar, 95-97 for the euro and 11.15-11.18 against the yuan. It is supported by the inflow of foreign exchange earnings and high export revenues, as well as a balanced budget policy.

“By the end of the third quarter, it is possible to allow a gradual weakening of the ruble's position if the tax factor disappears from the agenda and the demand for foreign currency from importers increases. In such a scenario, the dollar may rise to the range of 81-84 rubles, the euro — 95-97 rubles, the yuan — 11.40–11.50 rubles,” believes Schneiderman.
