The pancake index growth was estimated in Russia

OREANDA-NEWS The pancake index for Maslenitsa has grown in Russia, reaching 149 rubles in February 2026. This was reported by the analytical project "Check Index".
Experts estimate the pancake index based on the cost of 500 milliliters of milk, two eggs, a glass of wheat flour, three tablespoons of sunflower oil, a tablespoon of sugar and half a teaspoon of salt required to prepare a dish for four people. The growth rate for the year was 4 percent, while the cost of frozen pancakes increased by 10 percent during the specified period, to 199 rubles, according to the materials.
At the same time, in Moscow, the cost of the corresponding set of products has increased by 6 percent since the beginning of 2025, to 172 rubles, in St. Petersburg - by 8 percent, to 162 rubles, in Krasnodar – by 10 percent, to 169 rubles, and in Novosibirsk — by 8 percent, to 192 rubles.
In 2023, the pancake index averaged 93 rubles in Russia, while in Moscow it was at 99 rubles, in St. Petersburg - 96 rubles, and in Novosibirsk — 103 rubles.
