OREANDA-NEWS Ukraine expects to receive natural gas from Azerbaijan by the end of 2025, and both sides have already begun negotiations on this issue. This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic, Svetlana Grinchuk, as quoted by TASS.

The head of the department noted that Azerbaijan is interested in gas supplies to Ukraine. Imports will be carried out through the Trans-Balkan Corridor. By now, it has been possible to send the first shipments of fuel along this route. Work is currently underway to continue supplies in this direction, Grinchuk concluded.

Earlier, the head of the Ukrainian energy company Naftogaz, Sergey Koretsky, announced the start of Azerbaijani gas supplies via the Trans-Balkan corridor. As part of the agreement, SOCAR Group's subsidiary, SOCAR Energy Ukraine, will send fuel via Bulgaria and Romania.
