Bolshunov won the race with a split start at the Russian Championship in Tyumen

OREANDA-NEWS Three-time Olympic champion of the Beijing Games Alexander Bolshunov became the winner of the men's speed skating race with a separate start at a distance of 15 kilometers at the Russian Championship.
The race within the framework of the Russian Championship took place on March 21 in Tyumen. The winner covered the distance in 34 minutes and 51.1 seconds. Thanks to this, Bolshunov became a 16-time champion of Russia.
Anton Timashov became the second at the end of the race, losing 12.8 seconds to Bolshunov. Alexey Chervotkin closed the top three, losing 27.9 seconds to the winner. Olympic champion Sergey Ustyugov became the tenth.
