OREANDA-NEWS Russian tennis player Mira Andreeva defeated Daria Kasatkina, who plays for Australia, in the fourth round match of the Grand Slam tournament RolandGarros in France.

The match ended with a score of 6:3, 7:5.

In the ranking of the Women's Tennis Association (WTA), Andreeva ranks sixth and is the first racket of Russia. Kasatkina is in 17th place in the world ranking.

The former first racket of Russia Kasatkina switched to the flag of Australia in the spring of this year.

In the quarterfinals, Andreev will play the winner of the match between Frenchwoman Louis Brassin (world No. 361) and American Jessica Pegula (3).
