Sergey Spitsyn (up to 67 kg) also won silver among Russian karatekas, Yurik Oganesyan (up to 60 kg), Anastasia Razumnykh, Aigul Sadykova (both up to 50 kg) and Ozoda Nuridinova (up to 55 kg) won bronze.

The BRICS Games are held from June 12 to 24. About 5,000 athletes from more than 90 countries of the world participate in the competition, they will compete for 387 sets of medals.
