OREANDA-NEWS. The research holding Romir conducted a study among Russians about which athletes they most trusted, and made a list. The results were published after a survey of respondents. Russian gymnast Laysan Utyasheva topped the rating of Russians' trust in Russian athletes, taking first place in the list.

Honored coach of Russia in figure skating Tatyana Tarasova and mixed martial arts fighter Fedor Emelianenko also entered the top three. They were also followed by the goalkeeper of the Moscow CSKA Igor Akinfeev, ex-boxer Nikolai Valuev, UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, champion of the 2018 Olympics Alina Zagitova, football player of Zenit and the Russian national team Artem Dzyuba, hockey player of the Washington Capitals Alexander Ovechkin and ex-tennis player Maria Sharapova.

A similar list was drawn up in the summer. In comparison with the summer version of the same rating, one more representative of rhythmic gymnastics Irina Viner, bialonist Anton Shipulin, Elena Vyalbe (skis), figure skating coach Eteri Tutberidze and Vyacheslav Fetisov (hockey) dropped out of the top ten.

Earlier, the American portal yardbarker compiled its list of the greatest figure skaters in the history of figure skating. Two-time world champion and silver medalist of the 2018 Olympic Games Evgenia Medvedeva, as well as several other representatives of Russia and the USSR, got into it. Among them are four-time world champions in pair skating Ekaterina Gordeeva and Sergei Grinkov, two-time Olympic champion also in pair Artur Dmitriev, three-time Olympic champion Irina Rodnina and two-time Olympic champion Evgeny Plushenko.
