The incident occurred on Tverskaya Boulevard: a Christmas tree about ten meters high could not withstand a strong gust of wind and collapsed. On the recording made by an eyewitness, you can see that the fallen tree is lying on the ground in front of passers-by, while the garland with which it is decorated is still burning on it. At the same time, some citizens decided to come closer to the tree to take a closer look at how it is decorated. According to the source, there were no casualties as a result of the incident.

Two days earlier, it became known that the country's main Christmas tree had been brought to the Kremlin. The 26-meter-high centenary tree will be fully decorated by December 25 and installed on Cathedral Square, where it will stand until January 20 next year.
