OREANDA-NEWS  A program for the development of vocational guidance in Russian schools has been prepared, said the Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Sergey Kravtsov in Yekaterinburg.

"Today we will present a model (career guidance) and will continue to discuss. But from September 1 of the next academic year, we will recommend it for use in all schools of our country," Kravtsov said at the Ticket to the Future festival on Wednesday.

According to him, it is planned to develop career guidance in schools in seven areas: retraining, regular and extracurricular activities, educational work, additional education, vocational education and interaction with parents.

As the Minister noted, this system should cover schoolchildren starting from the sixth grade.

"We propose to lay a professional orientation minimum. We are talking about a set of tools that includes three levels. The basic one is at least 40 hours, the next one is about 60 hours, and the third one is about 80 hours," Kravtsov said.
