TikTok fined a total of 6 million rubles for not removing prohibited content

OREANDA-NEWS The Tagansky Court of Moscow found TikTok guilty of not removing content prohibited in the Russian Federation, the Moscow City Court reported on Wednesday.
"TikTok Pte.Ltd was given an administrative penalty in the form of a fine of 3 million rubles for each of the two administrative protocols," the court said.
Earlier on Wednesday, the court fined TikTok 3 million rubles for a similar offense. Thus, the total amount of the fine was 6 million rubles.
The service was found guilty under Part 2 of Article 13.41 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation (Failure to delete information or an Internet page if the obligation to delete such information is provided for by the legislation of the Russian Federation).
TikTok has previously been repeatedly prosecuted by Russian courts for various administrative violations.
On March 6, 2022, TikTok announced that it had decided to temporarily ban the posting of new videos and live broadcasts in the Russian Federation due to the law on fakes.
