OREANDA-NEWS In the Perm Region, a court sentenced a local resident to three and a half years in a penal colony for organizing illegal migration. About this was told in the press service of the courts of the region.
The woman was found guilty under Article 322.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, but the execution of the sentence was postponed until her minor child reached the age of 14.
According to investigators, the convict bought train tickets for her roommate, a citizen of Belarus, after he was expelled from Russia with a five—year entry ban, and helped him return to the country. The couple rented an apartment in Tchaikovsky, but the man was never registered for migration. In court, the woman stated that she did not know about the ban and believed that the roommate himself should decide on registration issues.
Earlier, members of a criminal group were convicted in Vladimir for legalizing more than two thousand migrants.
