OREANDA-NEWS  About 80 pieces of equipment led by the legendary T-34 tank will be used at the parade on May 9 on Palace Square in St. Petersburg, Governor Alexander Beglov said.

"The parade on Palace Square will take place on May 9. It will traditionally be attended by military personnel, cadets of military educational institutions, public organizations. 80 pieces of equipment led by the legendary T-34 tank will pass by the Winter Palace," Beglov said on the 78 TV channel.

He noted that a festive program has been prepared for the Victory Day in the city. According to the governor, on May 8, a festive concert "Letters of Victory" with the participation of Alexander Rosenbaum, Dmitry Pevtsov, Evgeny Dyatlov and other artists will take place at the Oktyabrsky Concert Hall. There will also be a big patriotic concert "The Unconquered" at the Gazprom Arena stadium on May 9.

He noted that a festive salute will be given in the evening on Victory Day in the city. Beglov recalled that all veterans and blockade runners, widows, and a number of other categories, including "war children" - those who were born before September 3, 1945, already receive lump-sum cash payments from the city by May 9.
