OREANDA-NEWS  Moscow is dissatisfied with the latest statements made by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan about Russia during an interview with Italian media. This was stated by a diplomatic source in an interview with TASS.

The interlocutor of the news agency noted that we are also talking about the public statements of the Armenian leadership, including the comment of the Armenian Foreign Ministry on August 31. According to him, Moscow regards them as "unacceptable in tone and content, with an eye to shifting responsibility for its own miscalculations and mistakes to Russia."

He also pointed out that they are trying to artificially oust Russia from the South Caucasus, while the West uses Armenia as a means to achieve this goal. The diplomatic source stressed that Russia, as Armenia's closest friend and neighbor, does not intend to leave the region, and urged Yerevan not to become a tool in the hands of the West.

On September 3, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said in an interview with the Italian newspaper La Repubblica that dependence on Russia in the security sphere is wrong.

Earlier, Pashinyan noted that Russia is moving away from him because of its actions or inaction in the South Caucasus. At the same time, he stressed that he did not know for what reasons this was happening.
