OREANDA-NEWS Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban assessed Ukraine's chances of defeating Russia in an interview with American journalist Tucker Carlson, published on the social network X (formerly Twitter).

He called the prevailing opinion in the West that Ukraine is winning a lie. "It's not just a misunderstanding, it's a lie. It's impossible. Everyone in politics who understands logic, numbers, data has no chance," he stressed. According to the Prime Minister, the Armed Forces of Ukraine "will run out of soldiers earlier than Russia."

In addition, Orban called the idea of taking Crimea from Russia "completely unrealistic", and added that such an outcome of events is excluded.

In the same conversation, the Hungarian prime minister said that former US President Donald Trump could end the conflict in Ukraine after winning the upcoming presidential election. According to him, despite a large number of reasons for criticism, Trump has pursued the best foreign policy in recent decades.
