OREANDA-NEWS The Ministry of Labor and the Ministry of Health propose to exclude 250 positions from the list of examinations necessary to establish disability and recognize the same number of them as interchangeable with others. According to the agency's estimates, such a reform will simplify the procedure for registration of disability. RBC writes about this with reference to the draft order.

Dmitry Ligomina, Director of the Department for the Disabled of the Ministry of Labor of the Russian Federation, gave an example of the diagnosis of tuberculosis, which now requires lung X-rays and tomography. According to the updated order, the patient will be able to do one examination — lung X-ray or spiral computed tomography.

First of all, the reform concerns cases when a citizen applies for disability due to a neoplasm or disease of the endocrine system. If he is already undergoing treatment, the medical institution will take information from the medical record without additional checks.

The validity period of the oncologist's report, general and biochemical blood tests, urine tests, electrocardiograms for adults with neoplasms, and the appointment of an orthopedic traumatologist for patients with the consequences of injuries of the lower and upper extremities will also be increased.
