OREANDA-NEWS  Russia's fighter aviation is constantly being improved, new combat aircraft are being developed, said Viktor Bondarev, First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Defense and Security. This is reported by TASS.

"Today, Russian fighter aviation is constantly being improved: the fleet of aircraft already in service is being modernized, new interceptors and highly maneuverable fighters are being developed, manufactured, tested and introduced," the senator said.

According to him, a sixth-generation MiG-41 interceptor fighter is currently being developed as part of the project of the promising long-range interception aviation complex (PAK DP).

In November, the general designer of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), Sergei Korotkov, said that the Russian sixth-generation fighter would differ from existing aircraft in improved flight characteristics and reduced visibility.
