OREANDA-NEWS The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbayev was summoned for questioning to the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic. This is reported by 24.kg with reference to their own sources.

In 2009, the then secretary of the Security Council of the Republic, and now the leader of the opposition party "Butun Kyrgyzstan" Adahan Madumarov signed the protocol of the working meeting of the heads of state bodies of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. The document stated that Bishkek had leased a five-hectare plot of land from the neighboring republic for 49 years. According to investigators, Madumarov did not have the authority to sign it.

Currently, the Tajik side considers this territory its own, and Kyrgyzstan - an unaccounted section of the border.

At the time of signing the document, the current Foreign Minister Kazakbayev held the position of the first Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, and, according to preliminary data, was part of the delegation that traveled to Batken region.

Earlier it became known that a commission was created in the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan, which will consider the possibility of bringing Madumarov to justice.

On January 27, a shootout took place on the border of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, as a result of which two civilians were killed and ten people were wounded.
