OREANDA-NEWS  Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin is taking part in a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in a narrow format on Thursday, a RIA Novosti correspondent reports.

The meeting of the Intergovernmental Council of the EAEU is taking place in Moscow. It is expected that after the meeting in a narrow format, the participants will continue to work in an expanded format.
During the event, the heads of government of the Union countries will consider issues of further deepening the Eurasian economic integration, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Russian Federation reported earlier. Special attention will be paid to the functioning of the EAEU internal market, the development of cooperation in the energy, industrial and agricultural sectors.

In 2025, Belarus will preside over the bodies of the Eurasian Economic Union, including the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council.

The meeting of the Intergovernmental Council is the forty-fifth in a row since the beginning of the work of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) on January 1, 2015 and the fourth this year. The previous meeting was held on September 30, 2025 in Minsk.
