OREANDA-NEWS The position voiced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on negotiations to resolve the conflict in Ukraine remains unchanged. This statement was made by the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov.

"The position of the Russian Federation, which was announced two years ago by President Vladimir Putin, remains unshakeable," the Kremlin spokesman said.

Peskov stressed that Russia is still ready to move towards a diplomatic settlement of the conflict. He also recalled the readiness of the United States to mediate in peace talks.

"There is still, let's say, the goodwill of Americans," the presidential spokesman added.

Earlier, Vladimir Putin revealed the role of third countries in negotiations with Ukraine. According to him, first of all, Russia and Ukraine should negotiate with each other, and third countries can only help.
