OREANDA-NEWS. On August 21, 2009 The President surveyed the fields sowed with corn and wheat in the Taiynshinskiy district where he launched the harvesting campaign and talked to mechanics, reported the Official website akorda.kz.

The economy of the region is predominantly agrarian one. The region produced 13 percent of the country’s agricultural production. The agricultural production output during 7 months of the current year totaled KZT 29.5 billion. The grain crops occupy 3.9 million hectares – 200 thousand hectares up on last year.

Then the President visited the exhibition of goods produced by the agricultural company Taiynsha-Astyk.

The Taiynsha-Astyk LLP produces crops and livestock breeding in Yasnopolyansky, Zelenogaisky, Kirovsky villages of the Taiynshinsky district in the Northern Kazakhstan Region. This company is a livestock farm, specializing in breeding the black marked cattle.

Nursultan Nazarbayev also visited the first stage of the diary farm for 500 cows and surveyed the course of construction of the second building of the farm.

At the conclusion of the events, the President met the local vendors and residents of the village Yasnaya Polyana.

Nursultan Nazarbayev underlined that despite the weather, the forecast for the grain yield made up 14 centners per hectare and the gross grain yield amounted to more that 5 million tons.
