Putin fired the governor of the Russian region

OREANDA-NEWS Russian President Vladimir Putin has prematurely dismissed Igor Rudenya, Governor of the Tver Region. The decree on the dismissal of the official was published on the Kremlin's website.
The document entered into force from the moment of its signing on September 29. It follows from his text that the Tver governor resigned "at his own request, in connection with a transfer to another job."
By another decree, the head of state appointed Rudenya as his authorized representative in the North-Western Federal District.
Igor Rudenya has been the head of the Tver Region since 2016, and was re-elected in 2021. Prior to that, he held senior positions at Roskhlebprodukt and Roszern, and also worked in the Russian government as head of the Department for the Development of the agro-industrial complex and deputy director of the Department for Sectoral Development.
Earlier it became known that seven Russian governors fell into the zone of low political stability in the rating "Gossovet 2.0". The "red zone" included the governor of the Samara region Vyacheslav Fedorishchev, the head of Khakassia Valentin Konovalov, the governor of the Zaporozhye region Evgeny Balitsky, the governor of the Ulyanovsk region Alexei Russian, as well as the heads of North Ossetia and Dagestan Sergey Menyailo and Sergey Melikov.
