OREANDA-NEWS  The issue of legalizing private military companies is not easy and should be discussed by the government and the State Duma, now there are no such companies in Russia legally. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin in an interview with Kommersant journalist Andrei Kolesnikov, speaking about the events around the Wagner group. "The group exists, but legally does not exist. This is a separate issue related to real legalization ... a difficult issue," the head of state noted.

Putin also said that at a meeting with the Wagner fighters, which took place on June 29, he offered them several options for further service. One of them is under the leadership of their direct commander with the call sign "Gray".

Recall that the meeting in the Kremlin at the end of June lasted three hours. Then Putin listened to the fighters and gave his assessment of the events of June 24.

On the evening of June 23, Yevgeny Prigozhin accused the military leadership of striking the positions of the Wagner PMCs units. The Ministry of Defense denied these reports.

On Saturday, June 24, the PMCs deployed columns moving towards Moscow and returned to the field camps.
