OREANDA-NEWS  The Public Opinion Foundation (POM) conducted a survey on Russians' trust in President Vladimir Putin. The study showed that more than 70 percent of citizens trust the head of state, according to the FOM website.

73 percent of Russians surveyed said they would rather trust the president, while 16 percent said the opposite. Also, 75 percent of the respondents rated Putin's work as the head of Russia well. 12 percent of the participants have the opposite opinion.

If elections to the Russian State Duma were held next Sunday, 36 percent of respondents would vote for the United Russia party; 12 percent of respondents said they would vote for the Liberal Democratic Party, while 8 percent preferred the Communist Party. In addition, 6 percent of the respondents would vote for "New People", and 3 percent for "Fair Russia".

46 percent of respondents positively assessed the work of the Russian government, while 32 percent of respondents said that the Cabinet of Ministers was rather poorly functioning. At the same time, 52 percent of citizens considered the work of the head of government Mikhail Mishustin to be good; 14 percent of the survey participants were rather dissatisfied with his work.

The weekly FOMnibus survey was conducted on June 5-7, 2026 among 1.5 thousand respondents over the age of 18. Interviews were conducted in 97 localities in 51 regions of Russia.

In May, 74 percent of participants in the FOM survey expressed confidence in President Putin.
