OREANDA-NEWS Restrictions on the export of gasoline from Russia may be extended until October 2025. This is reported by Kommersant (Kommersant), citing sources.
According to reports, the government is considering the possibility of extending the current restrictions for two months. They will affect all companies except those that produce more than a million tons of gasoline per year.
The relevant issue was discussed at a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak. At the same time, the Ministry of Energy and the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) note that fuel prices in Russia are stable, there is no shortage, and the domestic market is fully supplied with gasoline and diesel fuel.
In winter, the ban on gasoline exports from Russia, which does not apply to producers of petroleum products, was decided to be extended until August 31. This was stated in a message on the government's website. The authorities did not tighten restrictions on fuel exports in order to maintain a stable situation in the domestic fuel market, maintain the economy of refining and combat the gray export of gasoline. At the same time, the FAS proposed extending the ban to producers in order to stabilize prices during the sowing season and prevent possible shortages.
