OREANDA-NEWS   From June 13 to June 20, 2025, Russia's international reserves increased by $4.4 billion compared to the level of the previous week and reached $687.2 billion. This is reported on the website of the Central Bank (CB).

International reserves include highly liquid foreign assets managed by the Central Bank and the Government. They consist of foreign currency, special drawing rights, a reserve position in the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and monetary gold.

For comparison, as of June 13, Russia's international reserves were estimated at $682.8 billion. The sharp increase in the regulator was attributed to a "positive revaluation."

Russian international reserves showed a significant jump this year in mid-April. Then their volume increased by $25.5 billion in a week, or 3.9 percent. However, a month later, they decreased just as sharply — by 20 billion (by 2.9 percent). Nevertheless, by now their volume exceeds the level recorded at the beginning of the year by 77.7 billion.
