OREANDA-NEWS The Russian authorities will allocate almost 2 trillion rubles in the coming years for the development of new regions, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

"In the next 2.5 years, in my opinion, it is planned to allocate almost 2 trillion rubles from federal sources alone for the development of these territories - 1.9 trillion rubles. It's a decent amount of money. We have several programs for the development of these territories, and I repeat once again - the first stage is to achieve a nationwide level in social issues - this is medicine, education, infrastructure development, restoration, firstly, a lot has been destroyed, restoration and development of infrastructure.

These are prosaic things, but nevertheless very important for people - these are housing and communal services, road construction, the restoration of higher education, the restoration of cultural, industrial, agricultural facilities," Putin said during an open lesson "Talking about important things."

According to the president, the people living in the new regions of the Russian Federation are "very talented, able-bodied, energetic," none of them is standing with an outstretched hand, "everyone is ready to work, you just need to create conditions."
